Hi all - I'm Scrappy's foster mom - thanks to all of you who've responded. We're a really small group of weenie loving volunteers and are only able to adopt out to residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. But there are dachshund rescues throughout the country - please seek out an organization that services your area if you live elsewhere and are interested in saving a homeless dachshund. We can help you locate an organization in your area. Weenie chic, you're already "Done Good" - thanks!

Update on Scrappy -- turns out Scrappy was a little too active and "in your face" for George's liking - that's a bouncy puppy for ya! However, Scrappy did find a home with another family who has a young, active dachshund, Hank. I envision Hank and Scrappy rough-and-tumbling through the house together all day long - they are a good match. Meanwhile, George's Mom and Dad adopted another dog from DFW Dachshund Rescue who was a very good match for George, and are considering adopting a second dog from us as well. Thanks Weenie Chic, and to everyone who was rooting for Scrappy to find a home!
